Emmanuel Sundaram Fernandez, is a visual artist hailing from Kerala, India, has an ardent passion towards art ever since his boyhood days. the fascination towards light and colours submerged within him from then & it all bloomed, when his dad first gifted him a convex lens, through which he explored the different aspects of imagery.
The love towards light and colours evolved gradually and moulded him to an artist. There he fell in love with graphite pencils & water colours. Even though he lacks professional guidance on art, the immense passion drove him to acquire knowledge from the extramural world. The passion of painting with water colours had led him to paint with light & hence photography happened to him. The sempiternal possibility of photography was revealed to him by a N73 Mobile camera, which he lugged around and that motivated him to fall in the expensive hobby. That paved way towards the world of lights, self-taught photographer, who mastered the nuances of the image art through an unswerving attitude of exploring new things in life. The vehement affinity to convey his notions to the world had lead him to capture emotions & life which are evident from his photographs. He is critically acclaimed for his photography works & his works are published in many magazines & international blogs. His interest settles in different genres of art like graphite sketches, designing, painting, photography, screenplay, filmmaking & image consulting.

Apart from art, he is an engineer, trainer, auditor, author and an EHS Consultant with 16 years of hands-on experience in the middle eastern countries, Malaysia & India. He posses a bachelor’s degree in Environmental engineering and UK based Level 6 Graduation in health & safety. He is a certified trainer of Nebosh, IOSH & British safety council for their qualifications and completed above 3000 hours of International trainings. He is a Chartered member of the institute of Occupational health & safety, UK & a member of American society of safety engineers & Registered safety advisor of UAE. Moreover, He is an author of the ‘Advanced handbook of OHSE’ which is a fast selling book in the HSE market. He is a certified auditor for the OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 Management systems. He is approved as a competent ‘health & safety professional’ by Equate petrochemicals, Vopak, Emirates aluminum, Kuwait oil company etc. He has received many appreciations & awards for his exceptional service in training in several occasions

His life has all been a roller coaster with daunts & rejections were the fuel to ride. It was at the age of 20, when Emmanuel realized the taste of gravity in life and casted off his agnostic views about the Omnipotent by prolonged search of many questions for years. Overthen, the love of the Lord acquired the control of his life and that was the power to grab the new dreams & recover the lost ones. He hasn’t been to any university colleges, all he learnt was from the extramural world and isn’t within the four walls of a classroom, from the books that crossed them & the intellectual garbage outpoured from the society. There he achieved his academics & waked up the art within after many years through photography, which paved the way to cinematography, writing & film making. He has cinematographed, scripted & directed many short films & a musical video. His works were critically acclaimed and had bagged many awards in the international & national levels. His strength has all been his beloved family & friends as they are best critics. His curiosity to explore and experiment newness & innerness has evolved him gradually into what he is now. His philosophy is as short as ‘he is nothing sans Christ’. Today, as he is moving towards his debut feature directorial venture, it’s this same curiosity to know beyond what he see is what that keeps him moving ahead…
